Arthur Cabbage - International Jet Setter
Once upon a time in a land far far away (called Australia), there lived an ever so nice (and just a little wacky) lady called Jodie. In her spare time she dreamed of foxes, monkeys, love lorn turtles and dolls, and created amazing dolls and other softies.
Arthur Cabbage collector of things small and interesting, champion of bugs and snails and pockets; watcher of clouds and dreamer of dreams and kindness itself was created by Jodie.
Imagine my surprise and delight when Jodie asked whether Arthur would be able to come and stay as he fancied seeing more of the world. So it came to be that Arthur arrived at Stitchbird.
He quickly settled in and became friendly with the locals....
Thank you Jodie I love him and promise to look after him well!
P.S. You too can have an Arthur in your life as we stock the pattern to make him.

Nursery Versery Take 1 and Take 2
Oh how I love a mid week holiday. I have had the perfect day - sewing. I think this has been my first full day sewing since we opened the shop. I have wanted to make a quilt from the Nursery Versery range for a long time. I staked my claim on the dining room table for the day and the top is finished.....
and because there were left over squares I decided to cut a few more and make another quilt top.
As the saying goes same same but different. I hope you are enjoying your Waitangi Day.

Hi and Happy New Year
A belated Happy New Year to everyone. With a New Year comes new projects. So far it has involved a lot of washing
but no ironing as yet
and sorting through my stash of vintage laces
