It's official I am going nuts!

My kids have told me this for years and my brother's kids call me and my two sisters the "Crazy Aunties" and usually I am quite proud of being slightly nutty, doolally, or if we are being polite a little quirky...

BUT

I feel like I am losing my marbles.  I have cut 20 strips of fabric 1and half inches wide out of the Kona cotton solids and some Echino solids ready to make this quilt...

But do you think I can find them!

It is no use asking Mr Stitchbird for sympathy or if he has seen them because I will get a lecture about leaving my crafty stuff everywhere in the house.  SIGH... I will keep hunting tonight, as I am ready to go on this project.

I will keep you posted as to whether I find them or end up cutting new ones.

What have you lost?

Oh no! Hope your fabrics turn up soon. The most annoying thing I lost was a whole skirt. I spent ages sewing it from a vintage pattern then took it off to town to choose buttons. Back at home, someone tidied away the skirt which was safely in the paper bag with it's new matching buttons. Never saw the skirt or the buttons again. Sigh...

love the quilt. Oh I do hope you find them soon cause I would love to see your version. And yes it sounds very familiar to me. Its amazing how things can simply disapear just to drive you around the bend. I think that is the only draw back of sewing or should I say a hazard because it happens way too often!

When we moved I lost about 4 pieces of really beautiful fabric I had been making a collection from to make us a quilt - so gutted. Still have no idea where it is....I hope you have more luck than me.

I did exactly the same thing, cut the fabric out and then misplaced it. It turned up after a few weeks under a pile of ironing...

I lost a whole 500 grams of sterling silver a month or two ago! Scoured the house, the workroom many times. Then one day it turned up on the shelf where it was supposed to be?!?
So maybe this kind of madness runs in the family...?
Has it turned up yet? I hope so.
