sad

I have not been able to blog about what happened to Harley up until now.  We found him on Thursday night.  He had been hit by a car.  Our last big act of love for him was to have him put to sleep.

He was the best buddy and packed so much excitement and love for life into his 3 1/2 years.  I wish we could have had him for longer but we were privileged to have the time we had together.

I said to my sister "he thought the whole world loved him" and she corrected me and said "he knew the whole world loved him".  Everyone was a friend.

So sorry to hear about the kitty. Our big kitty went missing for almost 2 days last fall and it was really a bad two days. Ours did end better though.. :-(, poor Harley.

Oh no - I'm so very sorry to read your news. I really do feel for you and your family. Pets are a big part of our family life aren't they? That's such a lovely photo of Harley.

I've just spotted the fabulous needle case you made. It looks smashing. Thank you so much for your kind words and links. Thank you also for my very unexpected gift last Martinborough Fair. Really lovely. Hope to see you at the next one but in the meantime my thoughts are with you and yours.

I know exactly how you feel. Our lovely 5 year old female cat was killed outside our house on the road by a car in November. We miss her so much still around the house, coming in and 'talking' to us, waiting by the back door to get in when we arrived home. We got her at 10 weeks from the SPCA.Would love another but it still feels too soon.
